Tianjin, China. Might be there in less than four months. Would be pretty crazy.

Last Friday, May 11th marked the last day of our Spring semester in China. We were given a week break between the end of Spring and the beginning of the Summer session. Lindsay, Johnny, and I took the aptly-timed opportunity to leave on a 4 day adventure to a rural Tibetan town in Western Sichuan. We left Wednesday morning for the six hour journey in preparation for two days of teaching on Thursday and Friday. We individually taught six classes of Tibetan primary school students on each day. The town was called Ma’er Kang and quite frankly, it was one of the most beautiful towns I’ve ever seen. I’m excited to recount our adventure to you, Tumblrland.
Even the drive there was amazing, have a look.

On Friday night, after two days of teaching twelve classes, we were taken to a village fifteen minutes away to eat a traditional Tibetan dinner with a Tibetan family. Before dinner we explored the surrounding area in awe of our surroundings. The scenery was so breathtaking, I felt as though colors were about to run down from a freshly painted canvas. As I reflect on my adventures throughout China, I’ve concluded that this country has shown me the most magnificent sights I’ve yet to see.
